Children and Teens are invited join in the fun this summer of the summer reading program of the La Mesa Branch of the San Diego County Library. The program runs from Monday, June 20 through Wednesday, August 10.
Participants track how much they read and look forward to incentive prizes to recognize their summer reading achievments. Even preschoolers, whose parents read to them, may sign up for the summer reading program. What's more, special summer reading events, including storytimes, crafts, a magic show, and a Harry Potter party, a live animal show, a puppet show, and a clown show, are sure to teach and entertain young people of all ages. This year's theme is "Dragons, Dreams, and Daring Deeds." The teen theme is "Joust Reading."
